Farzad was born and raised in New York City and is expecting to graduate from the University of Michigan in 2028 with a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. In the Roth Lab, he created a master cancer cell line with antigen receptor expression for various CAR-T cell receptors, allowing for large, pooled screenings of various genetic perturbations and is actively used in current cancer cell experiments in the lab. He has also expanded the library of T-Cell perturbations five-fold by including FDA-approved CAR-T cell therapies to further investigate the best performing perturbations against cancer. Outside of the lab, Farzad loves to play soccer, watch films, and learn languages.
